Campus Coalition

The North End Campus Coalition seeks to strengthen the North End neighborhood of Springfield, MA by increasing community involvement and encouraging partnerships between local organizations and individuals. We are a health initiative concerned with promoting active, healthy lifestyles and preventative care while encouraging and supporting active community involvement.  Through education, partnerships, and effective programming, the coalition seeks to foster citizen involvement within the North End Community to improve the quality of life of its residents.

Bay State Health 

 

Bay State Helath is a not-for-profit hospital that has partnered with New North on the Safe Start to School Picnic, Annual Toy Drive, and many other community activities. Baystate Health is a main funding source for the North End Campus Coalition. The coalition consist of providers from the North End community whose goal is to improve the well-being of residents within the North End.  They continue to support activities for North End residents through the promotion of active lifestyles and healthy behaviors.

​Housing Initiative  ​
North End Housing Initiative is organized exclusively for charitable, scientific and educational purposes to promote the welfare of the memorial square neighborhood and the brightwood areas, Springfield, Mass, and all of its inhabitants residents and the establishing democratic self-government among the memebers of the corporation.

Stand For 
Children  

 

Springfield is the second-largest urban school district in Massachusetts, and it’s an area where parent engagement is critical in improving public education. Stand for Children Massachusetts helps to build the capacity of Springfield parents to take an active role in their children’s education and equips them with the tools necessary  

to advocate for an excellent education for all children.  Stand will hire a new Springfield organizer; build out 8 teams of members; train members in leadership development and advocacy skills; and engage members in the Springfield School Committee’s decision-making process. Building the capacity of Springfield parents to take an active role in their children’s educationwill help realize Stand’s mission to ensure that every child, regardless of background, graduates from high school prepared for and with access to a college education.
