ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Must have & maintain a ServSafe® certification
  • Knowledge of writing children’s menus
  • Keep up to date children’s allergy lists
  • Prepare and distribution of meals to all classrooms
  • Add meal times and temperatures
  • Ensure safety of food dates
  • Maintain a freezer and refrigerator temperature log & maintain a temperature log for all  prepared food as it comes into the center or go out to classrooms
  • Create a weekly order of all supplies and provide to the director and order once approved
  • Maintain inventory control and stock rotation
  • Prepare all bleach bottles daily according to EEC regulations
  • Perform the sanitation and cleaning of the kitchen and kitchen equipment
  • Maintain good attendance record in accordance with our NNCC attendance policy
  • Maintain sanitation log
  • Sanitize/Mop/Sweep daily kitchen
  • Maintain and update supplies and materials for program
  • Attend training and workshops as identified by the administration of NNCC
  • Upon request, assist in classrooms/Substitute when needed

 

High School Diploma or equivalent required
1+ years of food preparation experience preferred
